I was born in Gainesville, Georgia USA, with the birth name of “Janet Tallulah Jewell”. Janet Jewell. Over the years, I went to college, got married, had children, moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1968, changed my legal name to “Jay W. MacIntosh”, acted professionally in Film and Television, went to Whittier Law School in August 1996 and graduated in 1999, at age 60, passed the California Bar Exam in 2000, at age 61, practiced Entertainment Law and Employment Discrimination, and am now retired. I am currently 84 and have some health issues and working on growing and healing.
I moved to Paris in 2020 to get a fresh start, and I am picking myself up, dusting myself off, and starting all over again – in Paris. I spend my time walking, working with health issues, writing, taking photographs, networking with other expats, and living.
As an attorney / actress / mother / grandma / ex-college professor (Chairman of the Division of Humanities at a branch of the University of Georgia) and ex-real estate broker, I have a lot to say with opinions galore. I try to avoid politics.
As an actress, I performed in film, television, commercials, and theatre. I am a lifetime member of The Actors Studio, retired from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS), lifetime SAG-AFTRA, and ASCAP.
As an attorney, I specialized in employment litigation, helping employees who had been victimized in the workplace. I hold a master’s degree in Drama from the University of Georgia and am a lifetime member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and Zodiac Scholastic Society.
My published works include “Janet Tallulah”, The Origins of George Bernard Shaw’s Life Force Philosophy”, “Journal of Janet Tallulah, Volume 1″, “Journal of Janet Tallulah, Volume 2”, “Jayspeak on the Côte D’Azur”, “Moments in Time”, and “Capturing Beauty”, currently for sale on smashwords.com and amazon.com. I am currently writing this blog “Jayspeak.blog” each week and posting my photographs and short films on social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) and YouTube. I have lots of plans for projects that may or may not happen.
My French is “in process”. I can speak a little and understand more. I read French the best, having studied it at the University of Wisconsin. It was also my second language when I got my master’s degree. My love affair with France started when I was a little girl. And, I crave the Sea in NIce. I miss it in Paris. I plan to visit when I can. I also want to explore Brittany and Normandy and Biarritz.
Paris is the natural place for me to be. My plan is to become fluent in French, eat healthy food, write blogs and books, take photographs, heal, grow, and meet people. That is the plan, anyway. Always subject to change without notice. I continue to hope to do films in France and/or the USA. I did a short one in Cannes. Who knows?

This photo was taken in June 2021, during the pandemic. Enjoy the blog.
